So McDonald’s is promoting the upcoming Lego Batman video game by having Lego Batman Happy Meal toys. When i saw the pictures of the toys, in the drivethru lane, I was hoping for minifig lego sets. However they are not. Instead they are injection molded miniature versions of the vehicles. The Minifigs themselves are oversized. I have yet to get them. I only got the Batboat and Joker Helicopter.
The Batboat is very clever. Although I dislike the ostentatious batwings, it is a cool toy. It reminds me of the Batman Returns Batmobile/missle Happymeal toy. Instead of the batmissle coming out of the batmobile, there is a small bat jet skidoo type craft that jetisons from the rear end of the Batboat. The best part is that the canopy is see-thru. So if you notice, in the picture, batman faces forward when docked in the batboat. But when you push the gigantic batsymbol button, the little jetski shoots out and batman swivels around to face forward for the jetski.
Joker’s Helicopter is not as cleverly gimmicked. He just has a huge missle that shoots out.

SouthPeak Games and Shawnimals announced today a special open-to-the-public three city tour for their upcoming action strategy title, Ninjatown, for Nintendo DS™. The game comes out end of October, fans can get an sneak peek at the game in San Francisco, New York City and Chicago weeks before it becomes available at special events taking place at designer toy shops. There will be exclusive Ninjatown items and discussions with some of the folks who put the game together, and did I mention lots of ninjatown gaming?
All venues will have special limited edition handmade, signed and numbered Ol’ Master Ninja pocket plush, and playable Ninjatown games, and designer urban vinyl toy figures.
