Here’s one of the classics. If you don’t recognize this, it’s ok, you’re too young. Just take our word for it that it was the bomb way back when.  This is the limited metallic version (there’s a silver metallic and normal version, earlier post) The transforming action figure measures approximately 9.85″ tall. Comes with interchangeable parts, themed weaponry, landing gear, display Base, and will be packaged in a flip top window box.  Comes to the US in  May / June 2009!  This crazy robot retails for $224! And strangely, we found only one left on Amazon.com and it’s marked up to $249.99. Well, hop to it!

    Official blurb from the makers:

Celebrate your childhood!  Yamato’s eagerly anticipated GN-U [HAGANE]: Danguard Ace is now available in a limited edition metallic paint which comes complete with a CD containing three theme songs from th original anime. Fondly remembered as part of the Force Five syndicated anime anthology, as well as source material for the Shogun Warriors comic and toy line, this is Danguard Ace as never before.  As with other figures from Yamato’s GN-U [HAGANE], the massive nature of Danguard Ace is conveyed not only through its size (nearly 10″), but also through its hefty die-cast construction.  And Yamato’s Danguard Ace is fully transformable to Satellizer mode with interchangeable wings and arms which was never possible with previous Danguard Ace toys.  Also included are a number of effect parts (Teleportation Punch, Teleportation Missiles, and Pulsar Canon), themed weaponry (Cosmo Arrow and Double Shaft), interchangeable wrists, landing gear, and display stand all packaged in a stylish flip top window box with musical CD.  Quantities are limited!
