So every year San Diego Comic Convention has a list of exclusive toys that sell out mad quickly and unexpectedly, some as expected, and some just surprisingly linger around.

As expected, the Green Lantern Hal Jornan Figures were hot, but who knew that at a production run of 3000 of the green and 1500 of the yellow, blue, orange, and red Lanterns he’d be extremely hard to get?  Each day you stood in line at the Graphitti Designs booth for lottery for a chance to purchase the color of the day. Preview Night was Green, Thursday was Yellow, Friday blue, Saturday orange, and Sunday red.  They sold out immediately everyday so far since Preview Night! Well, I guess this was the first time ever they did this head sculp for the green lantern, ever.

On the other side of the hall at the designer figures booths, even though yesterday was only Friday, I was surprised the little Platinum Tokidoki figures Captain Coco, Skeletrina, Skeletrino, Bruttino, and Carina were still lingering around with no lines at the Strangeco booth as if they were just normal figures. These supposedly were $15, limited to 250 except for Captain Coco at $30 for a 500 production run. I remember previous year’s Platinum Adios and Ciao Ciao’s sold out Thursday or Friday night immediately.  Last year’s Black and White Bulleto Exclusive Figure sold out first day, limited to 250.

A relatively stealth exclusive at the Capcom booth all the way at the corner of Hall G was the Mad Catz Joysticks for PS3 and Xbox platforms. Promoted only to Capcom fans through their twitter and blogs, these were limited to only 200 per gaming platform.  They feature Street Fighter IV art on the top and arcade style joysticks that are one of the industry’s best.  THese were being sold 50 per day, 2 per person, and surprisinly enough, if you took your time and wandered over to their booth first thing when the Exhibit Hall opened, there was no problem getting your sticks.  They did mention selling them online after the show, but at the rate they were sellinbg they probably won’t have any left for online sales.

At the Hasbro Toy Store booth, surprisingly enough nothing was sold out yet by Friday afternoon, and unlike Preview Night and Thursday, the lines were easy to get into and out. If you wanted to buy the Little Pet Shop Exclusive, or the  My Little Pony two faced action hero exclusive, you can simply walk up to the little podium at the left hand corner in front of the lines.  For the rest of the items, I wandered by Hall C or D to the Sails Pavillion upstairs, found the little Hasbro booth to left after the glass doors, and got my badge stamped, nabbed a ticket, and went back downstairs to the Hasbro Toy Store booth lines.  Upon entering the lines with the ticket, they will write the time you entered so that you can’t go sneaking into the lines.  You were able to get a maxium of 4 of each item except for Captain America. I was able to get the Transformers Soundwaves figure set, Mighty Muggs Metalic Wolverine and Optimus Prime, Marvel Universe Captain America Figure, Marvel Universe 70th Anniversary Pack, Rise of Cobra Destro 2 pack, Rise of Cobra Baronness 12″ Figure, My Little Pony super hero figure. The Littlest Pet Shop figure,  Star Wars Unleashed Stormtrooper Commander Action Figure, and Smiling Luke Skywalker figures were the only ones left behind during my visit there. In stark contrast, 2007′s gold headed G.I. Joe Destro and silver headed destro figures sold out before the day was over on Thursday and Friday, and most of the Transformers exlusives sales had to be limited per day.

Mattel’s lines were somehow an unhappy place for some in the morning. If standing in lines for a long time with the ticket wasn’t enough, standing in lines to find out the item you were trying to get was sold out is worse.  Apparently, the He-man Art Book Mattel Exclusive was already sold out since Thursday and they failed to tell the people in line. 500 were sold Preview night, and 500 were sold Thursday.  You were still able to get the Buzz Lightyear, Wonder Twins, Ghostbusters, Mater Rescue Squad Cars perfectly fine.  Oh, I do remember many people asking arond for the Green Lantern figures and where to get those. Unfortunately, the Hasbro people were the wrong people to ask, and they pointed them to the man standing there who dressed up as Green Lantern. “There he is!”

Right next door to the Hasbro booth is Toynami’s ever growing showcase of their high end cinema lines and Toynami anime lines. I was suprised to find that the Stealth 1/100 Macross Figure was sold out already by Friday afternoon. It did look pretty nice on the person than in pictures. Bleach’s Shadow Ichigo Figure was still available in plenty, along with the other Designer and metallic Voltrons, Clear Gundam, Soul of Chogokin, Zip-a-Gang Head, Emily the Strange, and Skelanimals exlusives. Oh, and Futurama Fry and Leela Alternate Universe Figures were sold out. Who knew they were more popular than Voltron??

Coming back around to Kidrobot’s booths, their Holy Roller FatCap Green Edition Figure at $75 each and a production run of 1500, limited sale to one per person, are not sold out yet. Thos e were the hot exclusives for Friday. Today’s Wooden Labbits (300 production run) no doublt sold out quickly, and Thursday’s Lucky Dunny’s were snatched immediately.

I got into this problem while playing blackjack in an internet casino. just when I was succeeding really well, the internet connection to the casino became shaky. Is it the casino responsibility? should I ask for a match?
