So K-mart has an exclusive 12 pack of mini-cons, but if you’re someone that doesn’t have a K-mart close to them then you can order them online here. You can also try to use coupon code OCTOBER10 to get 10% off.
Update: Well unfortunately the listing on K-mart says they are in stock but you can’t add them to your cart so keep checking back.
Here is the Movie toy Ultimate Bumblebee. Its initial release saw a pricepoint around $79.99. They havent been flying off the shelves at that price. I believe such a toy is slightly outside of parents’ and kids’ budgets. However a resurgence in restocking sees even more of this toy on Walmart’s shelves. And no wonder at a price of $35, which is NOT a clearance or sale price. Im pretty sure the fans and even the kids will pick up this ginormous toy. Continue reading »
Thanks to my friend Ben Davidson, he got me hooked on Diaclones. While I am not willing to shell out the hundreds to thousands of dollars on them, I am fortunate enough that Ehobby has made a few repaints in hommage to diaclone toys.
So I found Blitzwing, of the Animated Voyager series from Hasbro. Blitzwing was one of the generation 1 characters and toys. Blitzwing even finds its origins from the original Takara Diaclone toy series.
Diaclone was the toy line that was created by Takara in the late 70′s-early 80′s. The car robots were non-sentient. They came with small figures that were a part of another toy series, Microman. Rather than make figures and toys to accomodate the GiJoe sized microman, they miniturized the figures and called them Diaclone Drivers.
Shoji Kawamori, the creator of Macross, actually designed Battle Convoy better known as Optimus Prime. Here are some pictures of Battle Convoy and other diaclone cars mixed in with some transformer figures.
Coronation Starscream? Sweeps terminate him!!!!! (yes i realize that is not how it went in the movie but who cares.
With the new Hasbro Classics 2.0 line, they have brought out Galvatron. I am a little disappointed that he is a Deluxe and not the larger Voyager line at $19.99 MSRP. which would have made him a larger figure and more imposing as he should be.
Not happy with the cardboard head that Encore Ironhide and Ratchet came with? Now there is a better solution to that problem. The guys at Best Toys have made plastic heads that pop right into place, so now your comic Ironhide will look like cartoon Ironhide.
This video has been a round for a while now but it’s still fun to watch. They use one of the MP Optimus Prime molds and a G1 Bumblebee and Action Master from the looks of it. I can’t even imagine how long it took but the animation is very smooth. Of course after watching it I feel like an underachiever with my toys just sitting in the package.
