There seems to be a trend in toys for mermaids lately. First it was mermaid barbies, but now there are mermaid ponies? These were spotted at Target, the mini My Little Ponies in different playlets as mermaid ponies.

So every year San Diego Comic Convention has a list of exclusive toys that sell out mad quickly and unexpectedly, some as expected, and some just surprisingly linger around.

As expected, the Green Lantern Hal Jornan Figures were hot, but who knew that at a production run of 3000 of the green and 1500 of the yellow, blue, orange, and red Lanterns he’d be extremely hard to get? Each day you stood in line at the Graphitti Designs booth for lottery for a chance to purchase the color of the day. Preview Night was Green, Thursday was Yellow, Friday blue, Saturday orange, and Sunday red. They sold out immediately everyday so far since Preview Night! Well, I guess this was the first time ever they did this head sculp for the green lantern, ever.

It is now normal sized and available in October 2009 to the general public! Designed by Designed by artist Junko Mizuno, this my little pony comes with her own fuzzy designer clothing! Retails about $23.49 each. Never heard of these? Make sure you order the rest of the series that’s out before they are sold out!

Not sure where I’ve been, but as I was looking for the my little pony blank figures on the hasbro toy store online, I came across the My Little Pony Art Pony! It comes in a black collector’s box with a cut out for displaying the pony, and seems to be online only. Retails $19.99. It’s also currently on display at the SDCC, along with the 25 years of my little ponies project. Currently on display are the 18″ SIlver Pony, Twinkle Hope Pony, and Catalina Estrada Pony, which is my favorite. This one is classy and has beaded hair like an aristocratic pony. These will go on auction after the show. I noticed also that the other designers in the project included Claw Money, 123 klan, jon burgerman, junko mizuno, tado, and tokidoki!
