What is it about the cheshire cat that makes it so cool? Is it the giant smile, cuz it’s a cat, and maybe because it’s a little bit bizarre and demented in the head? When Span of Sunset cranked out a black and white one as an exclusive for Diamond Comics a couple years ago, it really got my acttention. There were only 300 of these made in the world, featuring the Cheshire cat from Disney’s Alice in Wonderland with diamonds all over its body. What a statement! Continue reading »

Not sure where I’ve been, but as I was looking for the my little pony blank figures on the hasbro toy store online, I came across the My Little Pony Art Pony! It comes in a black collector’s box with a cut out for displaying the pony, and seems to be online only. Retails $19.99. It’s also currently on display at the SDCC, along with the 25 years of my little ponies project. Currently on display are the 18″ SIlver Pony, Twinkle Hope Pony, and Catalina Estrada Pony, which is my favorite. This one is classy and has beaded hair like an aristocratic pony. These will go on auction after the show. I noticed also that the other designers in the project included Claw Money, 123 klan, jon burgerman, junko mizuno, tado, and tokidoki!
