So every year San Diego Comic Convention has a list of exclusive toys that sell out mad quickly and unexpectedly, some as expected, and some just surprisingly linger around.
As expected, the Green Lantern Hal Jornan Figures were hot, but who knew that at a production run of 3000 of the green and 1500 of the yellow, blue, orange, and red Lanterns he’d be extremely hard to get? Each day you stood in line at the Graphitti Designs booth for lottery for a chance to purchase the color of the day. Preview Night was Green, Thursday was Yellow, Friday blue, Saturday orange, and Sunday red. They sold out immediately everyday so far since Preview Night! Well, I guess this was the first time ever they did this head sculp for the green lantern, ever.

We’ve been hearing about them quite a bit since last year, but they are finally for sale in the US! The vibrant red Alternity A-01 Nissan GT-R – Convoy has been sold out in most online places and the japanese distributors. Ultimate Silver looks like it’s still available with Japanese vendors as well as the US. Alternity A-02 Nissan Fairlady Z Megatron in silver and blue should be out in May, and the super black version of the Alternity A-01 Nissan GT-R – Convoy should be hitting the states in June! They retail for $49.99-$59.99 online. That’s probably all old news to most of the die-hard transformers fans, so I just thought I’d gather some images from the web and pile them into here to admire in one place.
So K-mart has an exclusive 12 pack of mini-cons, but if you’re someone that doesn’t have a K-mart close to them then you can order them online here. You can also try to use coupon code OCTOBER10 to get 10% off.
Update: Well unfortunately the listing on K-mart says they are in stock but you can’t add them to your cart so keep checking back.
Not happy with the cardboard head that Encore Ironhide and Ratchet came with? Now there is a better solution to that problem. The guys at Best Toys have made plastic heads that pop right into place, so now your comic Ironhide will look like cartoon Ironhide.
This video has been a round for a while now but it’s still fun to watch. They use one of the MP Optimus Prime molds and a G1 Bumblebee and Action Master from the looks of it. I can’t even imagine how long it took but the animation is very smooth. Of course after watching it I feel like an underachiever with my toys just sitting in the package.
This may be old news, but I took some pictures of Transformers I have recently found in the Souther California Area. These 3 transformers pictured above are some of the newest offerings I have seen thus far. Along with these, Target also had a nice full stock of Animated figures, and 9.99 classics. Blaster was also there but i didnt take any pictures of that.
